Government experience: During eight years as State Representative, Nelson served on the boards of transportation, business, economic development, government, education, agriculture, emergency preparedness, consumer protection, veterans affairs, Hispanic affairs, Head Start, hunger, women and the National Health and Human Services and Veteran’s Committee for the National Conference of State Legislators. Has also served on the Yamhill County Budget Committee, the Committee for Senior Transportation and the Parks Board.
